Laurel Hooker Smith (b. 1993, Philadelphia, PA) is an artist who lives in South Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in 2015.

Laurel currently paints and makes pottery out of West Fifth Studios, a community art space located in the annex of a historic church in the Old City, Knoxville.

Outside of the studio, Laurel enjoys gardening, hiking, yoga, and rereading Barbara Kingsolver novels.
